Will acrylic paint work well on my wall?
Hi there,
I am planning to paint some cartoon characters on my wall.
And am gonna use acrylic paint.
Will the paint work well on the wall?
Also, is there anything that i can use to coat over the acrylic paint on my wall to protect it from being smudge away with water?

Yeah acrylic is fine, did a mural myself on my wall and it worked very well, lasted longer and it was much more thicker in texture, so it won’t really fade! So here’s some advice, some stuff you might already know- draw your design out in pencil first and then paint, always start with the light colours first! In case you make mistakes, easier to correct anything, then let the paint dry (give it time) and then add the dark colours, to make sure the colours don’t mix and smudge. And use separate brushes for the dark and light colours and also change your jar of water regularly, to prevent any mixed mucky colours!
And finally, in order to bring out colours, for their contrast or just for the colours to last longer, give the paint two coats, it would preserve the mural. And a good site for good quality acrylic paint, is theworks.co.uk – I always use this site, the prices are affordable, no need to break the bank for art and the art range is endless! The brand for paint is Boldmere, and you can also buy large individual tubes for a certain colour, affordably!
